User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/32.0.1700.107 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: When using firefox metro (28.0), the persona log in buttons on webpages providing the ID service (like the bugzilla page) are not responsive to touch events. Actual results: The persona log in button remains unresponsive and the webpage remains static. Tested on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ Expected results: Touching the persona button should have brought up a log in window asking for email address associated with the persona account.

I tried reproducing the issue mentioned in comment #0 but couldn't reproduce it. I tried reproducing using the following builds: - http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2014-02-08-03-02-07-mozilla-central/ - http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest-beta/win32/en-US/ - A new tab is created with the Persona login screen - If you're already signed in, it will suggest the current email as the username. If you're not logged in, you need to insert an email address to login with - I taped/clicked on the "sign in" button and signed in using Persona without any issues - Once Persona logs me into the website, the tab disappears and switches back to the original website that was visited - At this point, I'm logged into the correct account Went through some other test cases to make sure Persona is working as expected: - Received "How long would you like to remain signed in" session window without any issues - Logged into Persona using several Gmail accounts (inserted the Gmail username/password and 2-way authentication without issues) - Logged in/out several times without any issues - "This is not me" under Persona works without any issues - Logged into several websites with Persona at the same time - Multiple email selection when logged into multiple Gmail accounts 4phlebas, could you try again with a clean profile and see if it's still happening? I tried taping/clicking on the "Persona" icon on several websites and it always launched a new tab and started the authentication process.

Were you using the Windows 8.1 Metro version of Firefox (beta) on a touchscreen device? I'm using it with Windows 8.1 (64bit) device, Surface Pro running Firefox Metro 23 (beta). The persona log in button won't respond, and I can replicate the same behavior on my friend's Dell Venue 8 Pro. I've run CCleaner and wiped cache and cookies just in case, the problem is still there. I've connected a physical mouse just in case and tried to click the button, which still remains unresponsive.
Yup, I tried reproducing it using the following equipment: - Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop running Win 8.1 (Touch Enabled) -> Working - Desktop machine running Win 8.1 (No Touch Input) -> Working - HP 2000-2b53CA Notebook running 8.1 (No Touch Input) -> Working Using the latest Firefox Beta 28.0 - http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest-beta/win32/en-US/ Maybe this only affects devices without physical keyboards? Let see if someone else can reproduce the problem with a Surface Pro 2.
I tried reproducing the issue with the Surface Pro 2 and couldn't reproduce the problem described in comment #0. Went through the following builds: - http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2014-02-10-03-02-01-mozilla-central/ - http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2014-02-10-00-40-02-mozilla-aurora/ - http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest-beta/win32/en-US/ Taping on the "Persona" button opens a new tab and starts the authentication process. Went through the test cases from comment #1. Tested with 4 different machines and can't reproduce this. Can someone else with a surface or another touch only device see if they can reproduce this?
wfm, surface pro using a mouse. let me try with touch.
