Details
Using a Nightly on Windows:
1. Set the profiler's sampling frequency to 1ms
2. Open an Etherpad document, e.g. https://etherpad.mozilla.org/australis-perf-standup
3. Zoom in on the page using Ctrl and mousewheel-up several times
Notice the long multi-second pauses while zooming. However, zooming is snappy when the profiler is disabled

This is quite old (2013)! I'm guessing it may have been fixed by bug 1349801 (2017). But I couldn't reproduce it anyway.
Vladan, please reopen if you're still experiencing issues.
