1. Launch browser
2. Open
ftp://sweetlou/products/client/seamonkey/macos/8.x/ppc/2001-01-24-13-Mtrunk/xpi/
or any other ftp server with xpi files
3. Click on any xpi file to initiate download and installation
4. Click OK button from confirmation dialog
RESULT:
Download dialog appears. Progress meter displays. Download dialog dismisses.
Installation does not occur. Install.log is not created and files are not
installed.
EXPECTED RESULT:
Files are installed before Download dialog dismisses. Install.log is created.
NOTE:
The Mac build from 1/23/2001 works fine. Linux and Windows work fine.
Triggering from http://jimbob/mac is supported, so it seems to be ftp specific.
CORRECTION to http path...

This works for me. It appears the problem has automagically gone away.
