Video skips frames while they are being reproduced
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use the latest nightly
2.Go to http://tinyvid.tv/show/3uwvr4t3wi3rm
3.Play the video
Actual Results:
Video is choppy and it flickers
Expected Results:
Firefox should reproduces videos smoothly
Without composition, videos flicker only in fullscreen
I found the same when giving this a run. Skips occurred every 2-3 seconds at what seemed like a fairly constant rate, whereas the original flash version or with compositing off, it didn't happen.
A similar/the same effect is evident when scrolling the test page with the video and compositing on.
Nvidia 8600GTS is the GPU, driver is 195.36.24 from Ubuntu 10.04 fwiw. I don't have another test environment to see if it's hardware specific.
My system specs are:
ubuntu 32 bit
GeForce 6150SE nForce 430
260.19.06 driver
Blocks: ogl-linux-beta
Summary: [OpenGL] .webm and ogg. videos are choppy with compositing on → [OpenGL] .webm and ogg. videos playback is choppy with hardware accelerated compositing on
