Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/42.0.2311.90 Safari/537.36
Build ID: 20170809204109
Steps to reproduce:
I use the Keyboard only, no Mouse.
I put the focus on the current Tab:
- open multiple Tabs
- press F6 to focus the Address-Input
- press Shift + TAB to put the focus on the current Tab (might have to press it twice)
- open the context-menu (right-click or the Menu-Keyboard-Button [the one next to SuperR])
- press the Up-/Down-Arrow-Keys to select a Menu item (e.g. "Close Tab")
The important part is that it only happens when the focus was put on the Tab using the Keyboard.
Additional info:
It is just very very annoying and confusing, but nothing serious:
e.g. "Close Tab" closes the originaly selected Tab, not the Tab the Up-/Down-Buttons switched to, but the user cant be sure which Tab gets closed.
So even I think it is "Low priority"
The Bug has been around forever, confirmed it on Windows and Linux. and on Version 48 and 52 and on one <=35 (cant remember the exact version)
Actual results:
The menu item gets selected, but also the Tab changes (as if the menu was never opened and the Up-/Down-Key was used to select the next/previouse Tab)
Expected results:
while the context menu is opend only the selected menu item should change, not the selected tab.
